We believe that children learn best when they are engaged in experiences that spark their curiosity and interest. By tapping into their individual interests, we create rich, tailored learning experiences that are carefully linked to each child’s unique goals.
Our approach is influenced by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Development Matters framework and enhanced by our bespoke programmes and the expertise of our educators.
We empower our children to have the confidence, skills, and values they need to thrive—whether it’s fostering a love for learning, promoting healthy habits, or encouraging creativity and self-expression.
All our families receive regular feedback on progress through our written progress checks and parents evenings.
Our food is not only delicious but our menus have been carefully designed with the health and well-being of your children at the heart.
Families love our menus, here's why:
We also prioritise fostering independence in our little ones, and one way we do this is by encouraging self-serving during mealtimes.
Our Earth Explorers Programme is an approach to education that makes use of the outdoor environment to learn.
Children will get the opportunity to take part in activities, such as;
This special programme engages our children in a variety of fun activities, that help them develop physically, socially and emotionally.
Each week, your child will participate in sessions tailored to their age group. Your child will get a Movement & Mindfulness T-shirt which they will change into before their session. It caters to children of all ages and stages, from babies to pre-schoolers and evolves alongside their development.
Every child, each week will get the opportunity to learn a new Makaton sign of the week.
Makaton combines speech with signs and symbols and is embedded practice and meaningful for all the children.
Our Makaton sign of the week is posted on our social media channels so you can continue our teaching at home.
We create lasting memories through our regular events, celebrating special occasions like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Christmas parties, along with graduations for school leavers. Families are always welcome to join us for these special events!
We also engage in educational events like Science Week, World Environment Day, and Maths Week, sparking curiosity and a love for learning.
We have great relationships with our families. We have lots of ways to ensure all our families are well-informed, daily.
At First Friends Village Nursery, we’ve made a conscious effort to reduce visual noise and create calm, nurturing environments.
By carefully selecting natural, soothing colours and reducing unnecessary clutter, we’re creating spaces where children can feel relaxed, focused, and open to learning.
The safety and well-being of your child is our top priority.
